Due to its unique cultural, panoramic and ecological value, in 1998 the Hanalei River, along with 14 other rivers nationally, was designated a Heritage River by the Federal Government.

Offered twice a day. A three-hour guided tour along the scenic Hanalei River and Bay Reef Lagoon accompanied by charming water-borne natural historians. Safe family enjoyment with the land, water, fauna and flora genuinely interpreted.

Highlights are views of Bali Hai (Makana Peak), and the sweeping "South Pacific" panorama. Bird and turtle watch, snorkel for views of colorful reef fish. Wade by a sandy beach. The more adventurous can paddle out in a surf kayak.

Come frolic with us in these calm, clear, shallow waters.

When And Where:

All Year, except Sundays.

Check in at  9:15 a.m or 1:15 p.m. at our Hanalei headquarters on Kuhio Highway,(560),in Hanalei Town. One mile west past Hanalei bridge.

Reservations should be made at least a day in advance.

Included:

• Guide(s) State certified and trained in water safety.
• Personal Flotation Devices (PFD's) i.e. life preservers.
• Tandem (double) kayaks
• Snorkel gear
• Water resistant bags
  
• Refreshments of tropical juices and bottled water

What To Bring:

• Sun protection
• Light shirt
• Bathing suit
• Footwear for the beach (tabis, aqua socks or tennis shoes)

This tour is very relaxing and safe. Participants should be comfortable in the water. Perfect for all ages, couples, and families. About three hours of easy sightseeing paddling, and snorkeling.

$60.00 per person plus Tax (children under 12 $45.00)

Cancellation Policy:

If you cancel 24 hours or more prior to the date of the event, you will receive a full refund If you cancel within 24 hours for any reason, you will receive no refund. If Kayak Kaua'i cancels due to inclement weather conditions, you will receive a full 100% refund.

Know Before You Go: (What is Leptospirosis?)

If upon your return home, you find you have flu like symptoms, please let your doctor know you were swimming in fresh water pools and/or recreating in muddy situations. The good news is that in all our years we have not had a confirmed case. The PDF File above can tell you more.
