Want to improve your paddling skills to another level? Is your paddling stroke as efficient as it could be? We can improve your paddling stroke and/or introduce you to the mysteries of the surf and the impact zone.

We can calibrate the waters to your proficiency and comfort level. Refine you technique on flat water or practice your white water skills in the famed Gauntlet, (winter only) of Hanalei Bay.

Warm and clear waters are our medium and the beauty of Hanalei our backdrop.

Our teachers have many hours in the cockpit, some of them having paddled the Inside Passage in Alaska, the Bering Strait, the Dalmatian Coastline, and veterans of many years of guiding down the rough and tumble of the Na Pali Coast.

Na Pali Coast
What has become more popular every year for novices and especially for first timers anticipating paddling the Na Pali-- is our pre-Na Pali shakedown paddle. Using the same equipment that you will use on the Na Pali we depart from Hanalei river mouth and gain the open ocean while negotiating the off shore reefs, open ocean waves and swell.

We try to approximate the same ocean conditions and scenarios encountered along the Na Pali and introducing surf landings, boat rescue, and cruising paddling techniques.

When And Where:

By appointment only. All year. Call to schedule.

Check in at our Hanalei Shop, Kuhio Highway 560, and one mile west; past the old Hanalei iron bridge as you come into Hanalei town.

Physical Requirements:

These lessons are fun and safe and tailored and calibrated to the proficiency level of the student.

Price:

* $50 per hour per student
   * 2 student minimum 
Limit of 6 students per instructor.
